Ms. Rajwant Sandhu, Chief Secretary, Himachal Pradesh participated in a review meeting through videoconferencing with all District Collectors. NIC state unit coordinated the event.  

Smt. Margaret Alva, Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand had a review through videoconferencing with Commissioners and District Magistrate of all the districts of Uttarakhand State. Hon’ble Governor addressed all the collectors on various schemes of Rural Health, Training of Red cross volunteers in villages on Disaster Management, HIV, food for children in schools under mid-day meal schemes, Aanganvadi schemes, conditions of child and old aged prisoners in the jails etc. Hon’ble Governor reviewed on each point with each District Collector. Principal Secretary of various departments were also present. Conference was coordinated by NIC Uttarakhand State unit and print media in large covered the event.  

Shri Sam Pitroda, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Public Information Infrastructure and Innovations participated in a joint meeting in the DIT on the development of semiconductor in the country. Presentations were given by various agencies during the meeting. Secretary Telecomm, Add. Secretary DIT, Add. Secretary expenditure was among the important participants.  

Shri Kapil Sibbal, Union Minister of Communication and Information Technology reviewed various policies and planning of Department of posts with Chief Post Master Generals of all states through videoconferencing. Secretary department of Post and other concerned officers were also present in the conference.  

Shri Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister, Rajasthan reviewed the Public Service guaranteed act- 2011 with Divisional commissioners, collectors and other officers of districts through Video Conferencing with all districts. In the existing meeting Chief Minister also reviewed 'Mukhya Mantri Nishulk Dava Yojna' and JSSY schemes schemes of Health Department, Electricity & water supply conditions in the state, public grievances , food and supply status, Law and Order situation in the state. On this occasion Chief Secretary of the state, Principal Secretary of various departments and SIO were present.  

Shri Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister, Jammu & Kashmir had a review through Video Conferencing with the Divisional commissioner of Kashmir and District collector of Ganderbal. Chief Minister had a review on land compensation, issues related with Central University, completion of Shadipora Bridge and various other issues beside the law and order issues. NIC Jammu and Kashmir state unit coordinated the event.  

Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Union Finance Minister given a key note address in the 'International Banking Summit' organised in Hotel Taj Mumbai. This summit was sponsored by Financial Express and Yes Bank. Dr. Rama Kapoor, founder, MD and CEO welcome the Hon’ble Minister in the conference. Summit was focussed on the quality of Bankers and Indian Banking strength. Hon’ble Minister given address from his North Block office, New Delhi and responded through Video Conferencing for the queries of Bankers, financial experts participating in the summit.  

Shri Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister, Rajasthan reviewed the Public Service guaranteed act- 2011 with Divisional commissioners, collectors and other officers of districts through Video Conferencing with all districts. In the existing meeting Chief Minister also reviewed 'Mukhya Mantri Nishulk Dava Yojna' with all district Medical officers of the state. Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal, Union Minister for Parliament & Water Resources chaired a workshop organised on 'National Water policy' in Pune. Shri Vincent H. Pala, Minister of State for water resources and elected members of various institutions were also present during the work shop. On this occasion members of Zila Panchayat from Gandhi Nagar, Nagpur, Goa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Vadodara, Mumbai, Daman and Indore participated through Video Conferencing. Hon’ble Minister interacted with participants and noted the suggestions for framing the policy.  

Shri Sklhri Sachin Pilot, Union Minister of State for Communication and Information Technology inaugurated the newly renovated post offices of Uttat Pradesh from Sitapur. The sites connected through Video Conferencing were Dharuara, Etah, Mainpuri and Baduan. Shri Jitin Prasad was also present during the event. NIC Uttar Pradesh State unit coordinated the event.  

Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister Madhya Pradesh used NIC Video Conferencing network for reviewing the various state government and union government under taking schemes with district collectors and concern officers from District in regular monthly review program i.e. “PARAKH”. All district collectors and District officers as well as police officers were present in NIC studios in district HQ. NIC Madhya Pradesh state unit coordinated the event.  

Chief Secretary, Meghalaya had another Video Conference with Deputy Commissioners of the West Garo Hills and Jaintia Hills to discuss the Tourism issues. Commissioner & Secretary Tourism, Meghalaya was also present during the conference.  

Chief Secretary, Meghalaya had a Video Conference with Deputy Commissioners and Superintendent of Police of the West Garo Hills and South Garo Hills Districts of Meghalaya to discuss the Law and Order situation. Principal Secretary Home and the Director General of Police were also present during the event.  

Chief Minister Uttarakhand had further round of discussion and review with all district collectors after a week through videoconferencing. Both events were organized by NIC uttarakhand state unit and appreciated by Hon’ble Chief Minister.  

Shri Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri, Chief Minister Uttarakhand, had a review on various schemes of state and central government with all district collectors of the through Video Conferencing. The event was organized by NIC state unit. Secretary of various departments i.e. Home, Transport, PWD, Health, Drinking water, Tourism, FCS and Electricity were present in State capital while officers of these departments were present in NIC district Centre. Event was hosted for more than one and half hour.  

Shri Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister Rajasthan had a review of law and order with IGs and SSPs/SPs of the state through NIC Video Conferencing. Chief Minister also reviewed the various health projects of the state with chief Medical officers.  

Shri Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission of India had a review of E-panchayats on  from his office. Deputy Chairman queried about the benefits of the technology provided through E-panchayat projects to the villagers. While interacting, villagers used portal based Video Conferencing services of NIC. Deputy Chairman appreciated the quality of Video Conferencing and promised for more direct talks with villagers in future too. Shri Sam Pitroda, DG (NIC), SIO (Rajasthan) also attended the event.  

Video Conferencing services in the High court of Manipur was launched in Imphal. On this occasion Web portal and kiosk services were launched. Hon’ble Chief justice of the Guwahati High Court, Shri Madan B. Lokur graced the function of inauguration of video Conferencing.  

Shri Kapil Sibal, Minister of HRD and Telecom & Information Technology addresses the large number of participants in General Manekshaw Hall, New Delhi. on the occasion of International Literacy Conference. The conference was organized form 8-10 September on Women’s Literacy for Inclusive and Sustainable Development by National Literacy Mission Authority (NLMA). Hon’ble Minister, interacted through NIC Video Conferencing with the villagers of Karnataka and Rajasthan. Gadak and Belgaum of Karnataka and Kanpura village of Rajasthan was linked with conference venue. Delegates including ministers of G9 and SAARC countries interacted with Panchayat and ask queries on women literacy programmes for rural citizens.  

Dr. Raman Singh, Chief Minister, Chhattisgarh had a review on rain through NIC videoconferencing  with district collectors. The conference was arranged at very short notice to review the status of Rain position, relief measures from floods, water level positions of canals, Rivers and Dams in the state. Chief Minister interacted with 10 district collectors of Mahasamund, Bilaspur, Raigarh ,Rajnandgaon, Dhamtari, Korba, Dante Wada, Jagdalpur and Kanker. Chief Secretary of Chattisgarh, Personal Secretary to CM and special secretary to CM were present during the conference. The Event was well covered by Print media and electronic media.  

Former Predisent of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, delivered a key note address at China Energy and Environment Summit (CEES) organised in Beijing on "HARVESTING SPACE SOLAR POWER THROUGH WORLD KNOWLEDGE PLATFORM" through Video Conference. The Summit was jointly organised by National Development and Reform Commission, the State Energy Bureau, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Environmental Protection and Ministry of Land and Resources, China Academy of Space Technology, Space Energy Group, Department of Chemical Engineering and many more important Universities of China. Dr. Kalam delivered his speech from NIC Studio Delhi at 07:20 AM (IST). Conference was well appriciateed by former president and participants in China.  

Union Home Minister, Sh. P. Chidambaram & Union Minister, Rural Development, Drinking Water and Sanitation, Sh Jairam Ramesh participated in a Video Conference organised on Integrated Action Plan in Planning Commission. Hon'ble Ministers reviewed the IAP and responded for queries. Chief Secretary Andhra Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal and 60 districts of these states were connected during the conference.  

Secretary Coordination & Public Grievances, Sh. Alok Rawat reviewed a meeting on Incidence of Dengue and Chikungunia with Chief Secretary of 29 States. Conference was arranged on LL based IP network and Satellite network.  

DGP Jharkhand, Sh. G. S. Rath attended a VC discussion with Suprintendent of Police of Garhwa, Giridih, Hazaribagh, Kodarma, Palamu, Bokaro and Chatra districts from DGP office over NICNET.  

Minister, Education, Madhya Pradesh Smt. Archana Chitinis, attended VC sessions to review the Rajya Shiksha Kendra & various other schemees of State Govt with the District Education Officers of all the districts of Madhya Pradesh through District NIC Studios.  

Union Minister,Science & Technology and Earth Science, Sh. Vilas Rao Deshmukh atended a review meeting of Dept. of Bio-Technology on video Conferencing form DBT HQ at CGO Complex, New Delhi. He was briefed about on going projects through video Conferencing. Director, Centre for DNA, finger Printing and Diagnostics form Hyderasbad; Director, National Centre for Cell Centre Pune: Director,Institute of life Science, Bhubaneswar; IBSP Imphal and Director, Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Bio-Tech, Trivandrum were among the important who joined through the video Conferencing with Union Minister.  

Chief Minister, Orissa, Sh. Naveen Patnaik participated in review meeting on availability of Food and other necessary items in the state through videoconferencing. Chief Secretary and important Principal Secretary of the states were present in Bhubaneswar Studio while concern officers in District were present in NIC District Studio. 

Union Minister of State inaugurated modrenised Post office in Margao [Goa] through video Confrerncing form Delhi. Chief Minister of Goa was also present during the inauguration. Both events were conducted through the portal based video Conferencing of NIC.  

Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh, Sh. Shivraj Singh Chauhan attended the review meeting on public grievances for Citizens in "Samadhan Online" using Video Conferencing. District Collectors and SSPs/SPs of all the districts were present in the review meeting at NIC District Studios of Madhya Pradesh - 5th July' 2011

Shri Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister, Nagaland chaired a meeeting of Nagaland State IT Councils in Kohima. On this occasion a Video Conferencing link was established from the Chief Minister office to Department of Information Technology & NIC HQ, New Delhi. Shri Shankar Agarwal Additional Secretary DIT, Dr. Y.K. Sharma DDG, NIC participated in the IT council through videoconferencing and described about various on-going IT schemes, Projects and future plans in the Nagaland. Chief Minister Nagaland desired more strong connectivity in the state for the benefit of state government and common man from Government of India

Shri Salman Khursheed, Union Minister, Water Resources delivered a keynote address in the workshop on formation of National Water Policy in consultation with Panchayati Raj Institutions. This work shop was organised in Walamatri (Water and Land Management Training and Research Insttitute) Andhra Pradesh. On this occasion, Shri Vincent Pala, Union Minster of State, Water Resources, Additional Secretary Water Resources GOI, Principal Secretary water REsources Andhra Pradesh and elected members of various institutions were present. Zila Parishad members from Karim Nagar, Krishna, Vizianagaram, Madurai, and Puducherry appeared though NIC Videoconferencing Studio. Shri Khursheed said " This is beginning of new age with Technology. I feel we should always be on the forefront of the tecbhnology to be used for such workshop and inaugurations". Union Minister interacted nearly 3 hours with Zila Parishad members.

Shri Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister, Orissa had a review on preparation on progress of Distribution of Agriculature Input Subsidy and Exgratia in affected areas though Video Conferencing. Chief Minister had another review through videoconferencing with all District collectors on Road development in the Orissa

CPMG Patna, Bihar was connected from Hotel Taj Chandigarh. Inaugural Mobile Money Transger was confirmed on VC by CPMG, Bihar to Hon'ble Minister. Hon'ble Minister of State praised the efforts of NIC for arranging the VC facility and making the event a success.

Shri Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister Rajasthan launched web portal "SUGAM" i.e. grievances redressal Portal as a single window system in the state through Video Conferencing. Shri V. Narayansami. Union Minister of State PMO and Administrative reforms, Shri Jitendra Singh, Minister IT, Rajasthan Government, Shri S. Ahmed, Chief Secretary and other senior officers from Rajasthan state were present during the event

Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' Chief Minister Uttarakhand had review on preparation of " Char Dham Yatra" with 13 District collectors of the State. Chief Secretary and Senior officers from Transport, Tourism, Home Drinking Water, Health were present in NIC State Studio and District officer of these departments in NIC District Studios during the conference. Conference was hosted in late evening.

Minister of Public Information Infrastructure and Innovations, Sri. Sam Pitroda, addressed the large number of Professionals from Indian School of Business Hyderabad from Mexico through Video Conferencing. During the address, he focussed on the various kinds of innovations in Education, Telecommunication, Tele-Medicine and Skill Developments.

Secretary, Coordination and Public Grievances, Govt. of India, Sri. Ajit Kumar Seth reviewed the action plan through NIC Video Conferencing with Chief Secretaries of Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura and Sikkim.
